Over 100 events a year are organized and produced by The City of Las Cruces, Convention and Visitors Bureau, Las Cruces Downtown Partnership (National Main Street advocacy group), three Downtown live theaters, the Dona Ana Arts Council, and other entities. The list of events is growing an expanding each year.
Regular and annual events vary and include:
- Twice weekly Farmers & Crafts market (voted best in the nation in 2015)
- Live plays and musical productions
- Two-day Country Music Fest attended by over 15,000
- New Year’s Eve “Chile Drop”
- Annual Salsa Fest
- Monthly Art Ramble
- Annual Chalk Art competition
- Weekly events planned for new Plaza
